Angelo Perera and Bhanuka Rajapaksa have reportedly informed Sri Lanka Cricket of their intentions with their future with Sri Lanka Cricket.
Bhanuka Rajapakse has formally informed on his intentions to retire and not take part in the fitness trials, citing the new fitness benchmark. The 30 year old has been a regular member of the white ball team since last July. An aggressive southpaw, he played an influential role with the bat in the recently concluded T20 World Cup. He was a former Sri Lanka Under 19 and Royal College captain as well, winning the schoolboy cricketer award twice in 2010 and 2011.
Angelo Perera on the other hand, has informed that he wishes to retire from International Cricket, with a possibility of migrating. Angelo has played 6 matches each in the white ball formats but was unimpressive in the national colours. He was a former captain of St. Peter’s College.
