South Africa clinical , as they reach the West Indian target of 144 with 10 balls to spare.

Winning the Toss and electing to bowl first the Protease made life very difficult for the former champions West Indies at the Dubai international stadium today.

The only West Indian batter to break free was Evin Lewis who made 56 with half a dozen sixes. Kiren Pollard looked promising but perished for 26 , to give Dwain Pretorius his first wicket in World cup 2021. Right arm medium seamer Dwain Pretorius, came into bowl at the back end of the South African innings and claimed 3 for 17.

The big hitting West Indies looked off colour today.None of the big strikers , in the likes of Chris Gayle, Kiren Pollard , Andrea Russel , Dwain Bravo and even Shimron Hetmyer got anything in their arch to clear the fence as they usualy do.

Keshev Maharaj was impressive with his left arm spin , he claimed 2 for 24 , however Tabrez Shamsi was nicked off for 39 and he went wicketless.

South Africa chasing a modest target of 144 , minus Quinton De Kock , were very clinical in their approach. Aiden Markram the right hander is in grat form , he made 51 not out , whilst the tall big cricketer Van der Dussan made an unbeaten 43 , and the protease won by 8 wickets with 10 balks to spare.
