Colombo Kaps kept their dream alive with a brilliant 68 run victory over Kandy Royals in the LPL 2026 Eliminator.
After choosing to bat first, the Kaps recovered from an early collapse thanks to a powerful 71 from Ben McDermott. James Neesham added a quick unbeaten 42, helping the team post a challenging 203/7.
Kandy Royals started with hope as Lahiru Igalagamage scored a fighting 50, but wickets kept falling at regular intervals. Colombo’s bowlers worked together brilliantly, with Wanuja Sahan, Malsha Tharupathi, Milan Rathnayaka, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, and Shahnawaz Dahani each taking two wickets to bowl the Royals out for 135.
With this dominant win, Colombo Kaps march into the Qualifier 2, keeping their dream of reaching the LPL 2026 final alive.
