After being asked to bat first, Jaffna Kings posted a strong 221/6. Kamil Mishara top scored with 49, while Avishka Fernando made 36. Chamindu Wickramasinghe added a quickfire 43 off 15 balls, and Shakib Al Hasan (22* ) and Dunith Wellalage (16* ) finished the innings strongly.
In reply, Kandy Royals were led by Pawan Sandesh (48) and Vijay Shankar (25), but they were bowled out for 200. Shakib Al Hasan and Dunith Wellalage claimed three wickets each as Jaffna Kings secured a convincing 21 run victory.
