Kandy Royals defeated Galle Gallants by 11 runs in the 11th match of the Lanka Premier League 2026 at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium.
Batting first, the Royals recovered from an early collapse to post 165/6 in 20 overs. Moeen Ali top scored with 41, while Dale Phillips made 34 and captain Angelo Mathews remained unbeaten on 28.
In reply, Galle Gallants were restricted to 154/8 despite fighting knocks from Dasun Shanaka (57* off 38) and Chamika Karunaratne (52 off 35). The Royals’ bowlers kept their wining momentum in the final overs to seal the victory.
