Tamim named president of ad-hoc committee as NSC dissolves BCB board

Former national team captain Tamim Iqbal was named president of ad-hoc committee as the National Sports Council on Tuesday dissolved the Aminul Islam-led Bangladesh Cricket Board’s elected body.

He earlier presented the report submitted by the investigation committee formed by the council, where they found several irregularities during last year’s BCB elections on October 6

The official also said that they conveyed the report to the International Cricket Council (ICC) and informed the world cricket governing body regarding the formation of the 11-member ad-hoc committee. The committee will arrange a new election at the BCB within 90 days.

The 11-member ad-hoc committee consists of: Tamim Iqbal (President), Rashna Imam, Miza Yasir Abbas, Syed Ibrahim Ahmed, Israfil Khosru, Minhajul Abedin Nannu, Athar Ali Khan, Tanvir Chowdhury, Salman Ispahani, Rafiqul Islam Babu and Fahim Sinha.
