Australia qualified for the Semi Finals of the T 20 World Cup, the 7th edition after a convincing win over the West Indies by 8 wickets.

Put into bat by the Australians, the West indies huffed and puffed on a good batting pitch in Sharjah, but reached 157 for 7 Wickets, thanks to a fine 44 by skipper Kieron Pollard.

Chris Gayle played his last international game , executed 2 big sixes , however played onto a Pat Cummins delivery and bid good bye with 15.

Evin Lewis looked promising, but Adam Zampa had him caught in the deep for 29.

Nichola Pooran , played an irresponsible cover drive , to be dismissed for 4 runs off a Hazelwood back of a length delivery.

Jos Hazelwood, who got carted for 21 runs off his first over , bowled Roston Chase for a duck , and ended his 4 overs with 4 scalps for 39 runs.

Shimron Hetmyer, is Windies future in white ball cricket. Made a vompact 27 , but fell victim to a Hazelwood down the leg side bouncer , which he unfortunately gloved to Mathew Wade , and Carrebean nation were diwn drodden on 91 for 5 wickets in the 14th over.

Kireon Pollard came to the rescue with a blazing 44, and Andre Russel a quick fire 18 off 7 balls , with two massive sixes on the troll off Mitchel Starch , helped the Windies to a respectable total of 157 for 7 wickets.

Australian batting with David Warner at the top got the job done for the Kangaroos in 16.3 overs , with Warner scoring a convincing 89 , supported by Mitch Marsh who got a valuable 53.

The Cricket World bids good bye to two legends Chris Gayle and Dwain Bravo. Two great Ambassadors of West Indian Cricket.

West Indies along with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh bow out of the T 20 World Cup 2021. England and Australia go through to the Semi Finals.
