Rajiva wins a bronze at Asian Masters in Malaysia

Sri Lanka’s Shot Putt Champion (Age Category 60 – 64), Rajiva Wijetunge won a Bronze Medal for Sri Lanka at the 21st Asia Masters Athletics Championship 2019, held at Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia recently.

Incidentally, this is the second Bronze medal he has won at the Asia Masters Athletics Championship. The first Bronze medal was won by Rajiva in 2006 in Bangalore, India for the Discus Throw (Age Category 45 – 49). Currently, he is ranked No. 1 in the Shot Putt in his respective age category, and is ranked No. 3 in the Discus Throw.

Being an all-round sportsman, Rajiva has won 26 international medals for Athletics and Table Tennis for Sri Lanka.
