Sri Lankan beach volleyball teams that participated at the seventh World Military Games in China won the Fair Play award considering their team spirit and vote by the other teams.
Lankan duo Tiron and Sanuja from the Army and Air Force duo Asanka and Yapa displayed excellent sportsmanship during the tournament.
Tiron and Sanuja qualified for the last 16 in the tournament. Brig. Mahesh Abeyratne was the coach cum manager of the Lankan teams.
Brazil has won the beach volleyball gold medal while Germany became the runner-up. The bronze medal was won by Oman.
