CT Sports: Team of 67 athletes will leave thecountry on 16 August for the World University Games 2017 to be held in Chinese Taipei from 19 to 30 August.
Sri Lanka team comprises of 2 officials apart from the athletes, who will take part in Athletics, Badminton, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwando, Tennis and Weight Lifting. Olympian Sumedha Ranasinghe who is student of University of Sri Jayewardenepura will lead SL and Senior Lecturer of physical education at Ruhunu University, Vineetha de Silva, will be the Chef de Mission.
10,000 athletes from 150 countries will be battling for glory at the World University Games.
