Sri Lanka Maroons win Masters Hockey

The Sri Lanka Maroons team won the championship of the International Masters Hockey Tournament organized by the Sri Lanka Masters Hockey Association.

The Maroons defeated the Dubai Masters Hockey Team 4-1 in the final match held under floodlights at the Colombo Artificial Hockey Field.

India, Oman, the United Arab Emirates and Sri Lanka participated in this hockey tournament, which was held under floodlights for the first time in Sri Lanka.

The final man of the match was Harendra Dharmaratne of the Sri Lanka Maroons team, who won the award. Hockey equipment was also donated to St. Thomas’s, Ananda, St. Joseph’s, Musius, Visakha and President’s Colleges.
