Spinner Nimasha Meepagage has been added to the Sri Lanka squad for the Women’s T20 Asia Cup.
All-rounder Dewmi Vihanga, who was part of the originally named squad, withdrew after sustaining a knee injury during a practice match and did not travel to Dubai with the team; Nimasha has been included as her replacement. Having made her T20 International debut last December, she has played nine T20 matches to date.
The tournament begins the day after tomorrow (28), and the Sri Lanka team is set to compete in the preliminary round within Group B alongside Bangladesh, Indonesia, and the hosts, the United Arab Emirates.
