Sri Lanka 'A' women's team made a winning start to the three-match Twenty20 series against the touring New Zealand 'A' women's team yesterday.

Sri Lanka took a 1-0 lead in the series with a 3-wicket win in the first match held at the Dambulla International Cricket Stadium yesterday.
Sri Lankan women's cricket team, who won the toss and elected to bat first, restricted New Zealand to 129 runs and secured victory in 19.3 overs for the loss of 7 wickets.
The second T20I between the two teams will begin at 10.00 am tomorrow in Dambulla.
