The Transition Committee appointed to administer Sri Lanka Cricket will meet at the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute this afternoon (6). The Chairman of the Committee, former Member of Parliament and Royal College cricketer Eran Wickramaratne, said that the first step will be an open exchange of views between the officials of the cricket institute and the parties involved in the game of cricket.
"We must first listen. We must give the cricket officials and those involved in cricket the opportunity to express their opinions. How can we improve cricket administration? How can we improve cricket at the grassroots level? What is important is that everyone's opinions are important in formulating plans for that," said Iran Wickramaratne.
The Sri Lanka Cricket Transformation Committee (CTC), appointed in April-May 2026 and chaired by Eran Wickramaratne, is a 9-member body tasked with reforming Sri Lanka Cricket's governance and administration. Following resignations, this committee is mandated to restructure the board, implement a new constitution, and rebuild a winning team
