Two withdraw nominations at NOSL elections

Rohan Preethi Viraj Perera, a member of the Canoe and Kayak Association, and Deva Henry, the President of the Ski and Snowboard Federation, who submitted nominations for the position of President of the National Olympic Committee, are preparing to withdraw their nominations.
Preethi Viraj and  Deva Henry told media that they will submit their decision to withdraw their nominations to the Olympic Election Committee today. Accordingly, the number of candidates for the position of President of the Olympic Committee has been reduced to 3. Mr. Preethi Viraj Perera has submitted his nomination for the position of Vice President of the National Olympic Committee.
As a result, the National Olympic Committee election to be held on the 25th has become a three-way battle. The post of Olympic President has become a battle between Jaswar Umar, President of the Sri Lanka Football Federation, Shirantha Peiris, Vice President of the Sri Lanka National Shooting Sports Federation, and Asanga Seneviratne, President of the Sri Lanka Baseball Association.
