Former Sri Lanka cricket captain Mahela Jayawardena has been appointed Captain of the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) for the 2026–2027 term.
An avid golfer, he actively supports junior golf development and participated in the 2026 Faldo Golf Series.
His role focuses on fostering talent and promoting golf in Sri Lanka.
