Wanindu Hasaranga’s brilliant performance secured an 89-run victory for B-Love Kandy over Galle Titans. He displayed heroics in an all-round performance, scoring 64 runs off 29 balls and also taking 4 wickets for 17 runs in the second innings. Earlier, GT won the toss and opted to field first. Fakhar Zaman scored 45 runs, while Angelo Mathews contributed 40 runs for the BLK innings. BLK set a mammoth target of 203/5 in 20 overs.
Chasing the mammoth target, the BLK bowlers’ spells took GT’s wickets at regular intervals. However, GT only managed to score 114 runs, being all out. Nuwan Pradeep and Mujeeb Ur Rahman took 3 and 2 wickets, respectively. This was the 12th match of LPL 2023 at Pallekele.
