LPL 2023-Qualifier 2 : Hasaranga takes B-Lovers Into the Final

B-Love Kandy secured a 34-run victory over Galle Titans and claimed a spot in the finals.

In Qualifier 02 of LPL 2023 at RPICS between B-Love Kandy and Galle Titans, BLK’s skipper Wanindu Hasaranga won the toss and chose to bat first. They lost their first 2 wickets at regular intervals. However, skipper Hasaranga’s brilliant 48 runs helped them bounce back in the game. Dinesh Chandimal also contributed 38 runs, while Angelo Mathews added 24 runs to the scoreboard. BLK managed to score 157/7 in their allotted 20 overs. Lahiru Kumara and Sonal Dinusha took 2 wickets each, while Kasun Rajitha claimed one wicket for GT.

In response, BLK’s bowling attack applied pressure on GT and managed to restrict them to 123/8 in 20 overs. Wanindu Hasaranga, Chaturanga de Silva, and Mohammad Hasnain each took 2 wickets for BLK.
