Sri Lanka’s powerful performance secures an impressive 132-run win over Afghanistan

Sri Lanka defeated Afghanistan by 132 runs in the second ODI at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium. Chasing a target of 324 runs in 50 overs, the Sri Lankan bowlers delivered impactful spells and put pressure on Afghanistan, taking their wickets at regular intervals. However, Ibrahim Zadran and skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi managed to score half-centuries for the Afghanistan innings. Wanindu Hasaranga and Dhananjaya de Silva each took 3 wickets, while Dushmantha Chameera took 2 wickets for Sri Lanka.

Afghanistan could only manage to score 191 runs before being all out in 42.1 overs. With this result, the series stands at 1-1. Sri Lanka will face their third ODI match on June 7th at Hambantota.
