Chasing the target, LSG opening batter Kyle Mayers gave a good start to the match by scoring 53 runs in just 22 balls, but CSK bowler Moeen Ali stopped him by taking four wickets for 26 runs. However, LSG could only score 205 runs, losing seven wickets in 20 overs in response to CSK’s 217/7. CSK won their first match in the TATA IPL 2023 by 12 runs.
