Former Kingswoodian Mahesh Senanayake has been appointed to the Post of Director Commercial of Sri Lanka Rugby.
Senanayake has 27 years of exposure and experience in rugby. First as a player (Schools & Clubs), then as a Referee, and thereafter as an Administrator. He is an old boy of Kingswood College and captained the Under-15 and 17 teams, and also played in the under-19 team.
He then went on to play for Havelock’s Sports Club, Army Sports Club and Kandy Youth Sports Club (all ‘A’ Division clubs), besides taking part in under-21/24 tournaments and the shorter versions (7s and 10-a-side). He represented Hatton National Bank in Mercantile Sevens.
