Yasitha Rangana de Silva and Anjalika Kurera emerged as the Sri Lanka National Champions in the Men’s and Women’s Singles in Tennis. They clinched their second national championship titles.
Yasitha De Silva made a stunning comeback with a 6-7(3) 6-4 6-4 win over youngster Chathurya Nilaweera to successfully defend his Nationals Title for a second year. Yasitha De Silva was the 2020 champion for the first time and has done well to secure his title. Chaturya had the better start but Yasitha finished stronger.
Anjalika Kurera secured her second title with a comprehensive 6-3 6-2 win over second seed Janali Manamperi. Anjalika showed her dominance from the start and comprehensively won her finals.
The tournament was held at SSC from the 10th under strict covid regulations.
