Tamil Union Cricket Club beat Ragama Cricket Club by 36 runs in the final of the Inter Club Club Major Limited Overs Cricket Tournament organized by Sri Lanka Cricket today (30).
Jeffrey Wandersay, the Tamil Union spinner, took five wickets for 27 runs to control the Ragama innings. Due to his prowess, Ragama had to concede defeat with 17 overs to spare.
Ragama won the toss and elected to bowl first. Accordingly Tamil Union players scored 181 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. In reply Ragama could score only 145 runs for the loss of all wickets.
