The Sri Lanka Athletic Association recently announced the schedule of athletics competitions for the years 2021 and 2022. It is for tournaments at local and international stadiums.
According to the schedule, the second round of this year’s 99th National Athletics Championships will be held on October 30 and 31.
Due to the corona epidemic, this year’s national championship was planned to be held in several stages and the first stage was held in May. The second phase was scheduled to take place on several occasions, but had to be postponed due to an increase in the epidemic.
In addition to this tournament, there will be a selection competition for the Asian Youth Championship in November this year and a national and super squad competition in December.
The 2022 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships will be held in February and the qualifiers for the Asian Games will be held in Sri Lanka in February.
