The Indian squad for the Twenty20 World Cup to be held in the United Arab Emirates next October has been named on Wednesday (08).
The squad includes 15 players. Virat Kohli is the captain of the Indian team while Rohit Sharma is the vice-captain.
Varun Chakravarthy, who has excelled in the Indian Premier League, has also been included in the squad. Newcomers Ishan Krishan and Suryakumar Yadav have also been included in the squad.
Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Suryakumar Yadav have been named in the squad while wicketkeepers Rishabh Pant and Ishan Krishan have been named in the squad.
All-rounders Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel has also been named in the squad while Ravichandran Ashwin and Varun Chakravarthy have joined the spin squad. Expert fast bowlers for the team include Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Three additional players will also be included in the squad. It is named after Shardul Thakur, Shreyas Iyer, and Deepak Chahar.
