Colombo Kings led by Andre Russell assault scored a mammoth 96/1 in 5 Overs against Galle Gladiators in a rain-shortened game 04 in Lanka Premier League played at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium Hambantota on Saturday.
In reply, Galle Gladiators were restricted 62/2 in 5 overs and Colombo Kings won the game by 34 runs to come on top of the points table. Russell the Caribbean hard hitting stroke player was adjusted man of the match for his record innings.

2nd highest Run Rate by a team in an innings, previous was 20.00 when Papua New Guinea scored 60/0 in 3 overs vs Vanuatu. Colombo Kings scored 96/1 at a run rate of 19.20.
- Record 03
Fastest T20 fifty ever in Sri Lanka (Andre Russell 53* from 14 balls). This was also the 5th fastest T20 fifty in the world
