Dambulla Viking opener Oshadha Fernando has been ruled out of the match against Jaffna Stallions due to injury on Saturday. Doctors have confirmed that the he should be rested for at least a week after the examination.
Accordingly, the Dambulla Viking team will have to play the upcoming matches without the participation of Oshadha Fernando. He suffered a slippery ankle injury while trying to switch sides for a run during the game against Kandy Tuskers.
Osahda has been included in the Sri Lankan Test Cricket team due to tour South Africa for a Test series which follows the conclusion of the Lanka Premier League, on December 17.
He earned his Test Cap during the Sri Lankan team’s tour of South Africa in 2019 and has excelled as a batsman. Sri Lanka beat South Africa 2-0 during the series at their home soil , become the first team in Asia to do so.
