Dialog Axiata PLC the Sri Lanka’s premier connectivity provider once again came forward to give their big hands to boost Sri Lanka Netball with the sponsorship of Senior and Junior National championships.

The record number of 42 teams will battle for the Dialog championship at the Junior National Netball championship which will be held from 30th November to 2nd December at Torrington grounds at Colombo while 18 teams will via for the Senior National Championship scheduled to be held on 14th and 15th December at Anuradhapura Public grounds and North Central Indoor Stadium.
President of the Netball Federation of Sri Lanka Victoria Lakshmi expressing her views at the Media Briefing held yesterday (26) said that the junior and senior Nationals are very important to all players to show their talents as it will take place as a selection process for the national pools as well.
” We have big task to go beyond the Asian level.We already won five times Asian championships including last year and want retain our title once again and also improve our playing standard in the next world cup ” said NFSL President.
” I have good supporting members in my administrative party and with them NFSL will work hard to get better results. The Sponsorship from Dialog Axiata PLC would definitely help towards our word ” she further added.
Speaking at the Press briefing Harsha Samaranayake – Senior General Manager – Brand and Media, Group Marketing – Dialog Axiata PLC said that Dialog being one of the leading telecom providers in the Island have come up to sponsor many sports in Sri Lanka.
” we are happy to be part of Netball in Sri Lanka. We have being associating with this sports recently but we see the potential of this sport and it is the most played women sport in Sri Lanka. Being the sponsor of the national team in recently concluded world cup and as well as the Asian Championship we are happy with the improvement of the team and we believe they have more success to deliver ” Samaranayake Further added.
Dialog is the official sponsor of Sri Lanka Cricket and brand also associate with Volleyball, Football, Basketball . It also come forward to provide sponsorship National para games and Sri Lanka contingents to Olympics and Paralympics .
