The LECTRA Grand-Prix 2019 August Edition got underway at the Royal Colombo Golf Club, Sponsored by Apparel Technologies member of the Bobbin Group of Companies supporting the Annual Grand-Prix Rankings valid for the WAGR (World Amateur Golf Rankings) standings.
Veteran Golfer B A Sanjeewa once again got in to the ‘pole position’ from day one, with a steady Even Par 71 at the picturesque RCGC in topping condition.
M H Chalitha Pushpika regained his form that he lost for a while and returned a 2 over par 73 to share joint second place with another consistent veteran J M D Indika. Following In joint 4th place one stroke behind, yet another veteran N. Amarapadma and reigning Sri Lanka National Amateur Golf Champion M U Chanaka Perera complete the top five with just 3 strokes separating the leading bunch.
Youngster Januka Dilshan and overall Grand-Prix standings leader Sisira Kumara are in joint 6th place 5 strokes behind the leader and the contest is expected to hot-up and get interesting as each and every LECTRA monthly Grand-Prix produces.
