Bangladesh affirms their berth in Final beating Zimbabwe by 91 runs

Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by 91 runs and clinched third successive victory in the 5th match of ROCKET Tri-Nation ODI Series 2018.
Mashrafe Bin Mortaza won the toss and decided to bat first. After the early departure of Anamul Haque, Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan added 106 runs in the second wicket. But a batting collapse in the middle-orders put Bangladesh in trouble on 170 for 8.
Then Sunzamul Islam and Mustafizur Rahman’s two fighting innings helped Bangladesh to score past 200 runs. Bangladesh managed to post 216 for 9 after 50 overs. During his knock of 76, Tamim becomes the first Bangladesh batsman to score 6000 runs in ODIs. Graeme Cremer picked up 4 wickets for 32.
Defending a low total, Tigers desperately needed some early wickets. Shakib and Mashrafe gave Bangladesh a perfect start by taking 4 wickets of Zimbabwe for 34. Then Sikandar Raza and Cremer tried to put some fightback in the middle order.
But it was not enough as Mustafizur and Sunzamul took couple of quick wickets to dismiss Zimbabwe’s hope. They were all out for 125 in 36.3 overs. Shakib took 3 wickets for 34.
Tamim Iqbal was named man of the match for his brilliant knock.
