All-round Chennai Super Kings outplayed Mumbai Indians by 103 runs in their IPL 2026 game at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday. Sanju Samson scored an unbeaten century as CSK posted 207 for 6 after being invited to bat first.
The side kept losing wickets at regular intervals, but Samson’s solid knock (101 not out off 54 balls) ensured it a big total. His innings was laced with 10 fours and six sixes. Allah Ghazanfar and Ashwani Kumar picked up two wickets each for MI. I
n the chase, Mumbai got off to a horrible start, losing three wickets in 2.3 overs. Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav showed some resilience with a 73-run partnership, but once it was broken, CSK dominated the contest.
MI were bundled out for 104 in 19 overs, suffering their biggest defeat in terms of runs. Akeal Hosein was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 4 for 17.
