Young Paddlers to take part in South Asian TT C’ship

Sri Lanka’s 16-member junior table tennis team is in action at the South Asian Youth Table Tennis Championship in Shimla, India, from April 8 to 11.

The tournament features five countries—Nepal, Bangladesh, Maldives, Sri Lanka and hosts India—and includes Under-15 and Under-19 events for both boys and girls.

Sanoj Duljith and Chanuki Akshana captain the Under-15 boys and girls, respectively, while Akain Bojith and Thamadi Kavindya lead the Under-19 teams.

The championship doubles as a qualifying pathway to the Asian Youth Championship. The team is coached by Chathura Dushan and W.A. Buddhasiri.

Girls Under-19:
