SL v AUS– Match 30 | ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026

Despite all of Australia’s hopes Sri Lanka chased down a strong target of 182 runs and won the match in just 18 overs, with eight wickets in hand.
For Australia, captain Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head gave a flying start. They scored quick 54 and 56 runs respectively. However after their wickets, the middle order failed to build big partnerships. Dushan Hemantha bowled very well and took three important wickets. Eventually, Australia finished with 181 runs in 20 overs.
Chasing 182, Sri Lanka played with confidence. Pathum Nissanka was the hero of the match, scoring a brilliant unbeaten 100 off just 52 balls, including 10 fours and 5 sixes. Kusal Mendis supported him with 51 runs, and Sri Lanka reached 184/2 in 18 overs.
Sri Lanka remains unbeaten in the T20 World Cup and will take on Zimbabwe in their fourth match on February 19th at R. Premadasa Stadium.
