West Indies batted first but lost their first two wickets very quickly. Shimron Hetmyer played well and scored 23 runs, and Roston Chase added 34 runs. The star of the innings was Sherfane Rutherford. He hit 76* runs with big sixes and helped West Indies reach a strong total of 196 runs in 20 overs.
England tried to chase 197 runs but lost wickets at the wrong time. Phil Salt and Jos Buttler scored 30 and 21 respectively, but the West Indies bowlers were too strong. Gudakesh Motie and Roston Chase took important wickets. England could only score 166 runs in 19 overs and West Indies won the match by 30 runs.
