Algeria have come from behind to beat Jordan at Levi’s Stadium, earning their first win at the 2026 World Cup.
Nizar Al-Rashdan fired Jordan into the lead in the 36th minute, scoring completely against the run of play. But Algeria responded in the second half, scoring twice off corners through Nadhir Benbouali and Amine Gouiri to take all three points.
The result lifts Algeria onto three points in Group J, level with Austria, and eliminates Jordan from knockout-stage contention. It also sees Argentina clinch first place in the group.
