The team representing Sri Lanka at the 2nd International Veteran Athletics Championships held in the Maldives won the runner-up position with 63 medals.
The tournament was held in Male, Maldives with the participation of veteran athletics teams from Denmark, Japan, Singapore, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Maldives and Sri Lanka. The Sri Lanka veteran athletics team won 31 gold medals, 26 silver medals and 6 bronze medals.
