Statement win from RCB after the Loss

RCB v MI– MATCH 20 | IPL 2026

After losing to Rajasthan, Royal Challengers Bengaluru came into this match very hungry to win. Mumbai Indians won the toss and chose to bowl first, inviting RCB to bat.

Taking that opportunity, RCB played brilliantly and scored 240 runs in their 20 overs. Phil Salt made an excellent 78 runs, while Virat Kohli added a solid 50. Captain Rajat Patidar played a quick innings of 53 runs. Tim David finished strongly with an unbeaten 34 runs.

While chasing the big target, Mumbai Indians struggled to keep up. Sherfane Rutherford played a powerful innings and remained not out on 71 runs, but it was not enough to chase the target.

Captain Hardik Pandya scored 40 runs. Ryan Rickelton made 37, and Suryakumar Yadav added 33 runs. However, Mumbai Indians could only reach 222/5 in their 20 overs.

In the end, RCB won the match by 18 runs.
