Punjab Kings started their season with a strong win at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh.
Gujarat Titans batted first and scored 162 for 6 in 20 overs. Shubman Gill played a good knock of 39 runs, while Jos Buttler added 38. Glenn Phillips also helped with 25 runs. For Punjab, Vijaykumar Vyshak took 3 wickets, and Yuzvendra Chahal picked up 2 wickets to control the game.
Chasing 163, Punjab Kings had a mixed start. Priyansh Arya got out early, but Prabhsimran Singh played a quick innings of 37 runs. After that, Cooper Connolly played a brilliant match winning knock. Connolly scored an unbeaten 73 runs from 44 balls. Eventually, Punjab Kings chased the target in 19.1 overs and won the match by 3 wickets.
