Sri Lanka Cricket has recruited 200 volunteers to co-host the T20 World Cup. The volunteers are between the ages of 18 and 35 and have been selected through a special interview process, with proficiency in Sinhala and English, with Tamil being an added advantage.
The selected volunteers are 120 at the R. Premadasa Stadium and SSC Stadium in Colombo and 80 at the Pallekele Stadium in Kandy. Sri Lanka Cricket has taken steps to involve university students and educated and intelligent people who have shown talent in various fields in these activities.
