Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Tharanga managed to show the highest performance by an athlete so far this year in the javelin throw event at the World Athletics Championships held in Australia.
Rumesh Tharanga won the first place by recording a distance of 85.41 meters in the Perth Track Classic held in Perth
With this, India’s Sachin Yadav’s record of 84.39 meters this year fell to the second place, while Rumesh’s performance was recorded as the highest record so far. This also became a new match record in the tournament.
