The Sri Lankan team that participated in the 1st Asian Junior Athletics Tournament returned to the island early yesterday (29).
The Sri Lankan team managed to win a total of 05 medals including 2 silver medals and 3 bronze medals in the Asian Junior Athletics Tournament.
Sri Lanka’s Nethmika Madhushani won the silver medal in the women’s triple jump event.
Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan team was also able to win a silver medal in the men’s 100m x 4 relay event, setting a new Sri Lankan record.
Also, the Sri Lankan team was able to win bronze medals in the women’s, men’s and mixed events of 400 x 4 meter relay.
