Punjab Kings recorded the highest chase down in T20s as they pursued a 262-run target set by Kolkata Knight Riders in the 42nd match of IPL 2024 at Eden Gardens.
The historic match started with Punjab Kings opting to field first. Phil Salt and Sunil Narine built up a superb 138-run partnership for the first wicket, helping Kolkata to post 261/6 in 20 overs. Arshdeep Singh took 2 wickets for Punjab.
In response, Jonny Bairstow’s unbeaten 108 runs and Shashank Singh’s quick 68 runs chased down the target with 8 balls to spare.
