Asked to bat first, Mumbai Indians’ Rohit Sharma (49) and Ishan Kishan (42) built an 80-run partnership for the first wicket. Axar Patel and Anrich Nortje took 2 wickets each for Delhi Capitals.
In reply, Delhi Capitals fought hard but could only manage to score 205/8 in their allocated 20 overs. Prithvi Shaw and Tristan Stubbs scored 66 and 71* runs respectively. Gerald Coetzee took 4 wickets for Mumbai. With this win, Mumbai clinched their first victory of the season.
