Lucknow Super Giants registered their first win in IPL 2024 as they defeated Punjab Kings by 21 runs at Ekana Sports City, Lucknow.
Earlier, Lucknow Super Giants elected to bat first and posted 199/8 in their allocated 20 overs, thanks to Quinton de Kock (54), Nicholas Pooran (42), and Krunal Pandya (43*). For Punjab Kings, Sam Curran (3), Arshdeep Singh (2), Kagiso Rabada (1), and Rahul Chahar (1) claimed wickets.
In reply, Punjab Kings skipper Shikhar Dhawan (70) and Jonny Bairstow (42) gave a big fight, but it was not enough to chase down the target. Mayank Yadav took 3 wickets for Lucknow.
