Avesh Khan’s brilliance in the last over led Rajasthan Royals to victory over Delhi Capitals by 12 runs in the 9th match of IPL 2024.
Earlier, Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to bowl first. Rajasthan Royals lost their very first wickets quickly, but Riyan Parag’s unbeaten 84 runs helped to post 185/5 in 20 overs. Khaleel Ahmed, Mukesh Kumar, Anrich Nortje, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav took one wicket each for Delhi.
In reply, Delhi Capitals could only manage to score 173/5 in 20 overs. David Warner & Tristan Stubbs scored 49 and 44 runs respectively for Delhi Capitals. Yuzvendra Chahal(2), Nandre Burger(2), and Avesh Khan(1) claimed wickets for Rajasthan Royals.
