Sri Lankan U19 women to meet Bangladesh in the tri nation finals

Sri Lanka women’s under 19 team led by Manudi Nanayakkara entered the final with Bangladesh under 19 in their Tri Nation T- 20 cricket tournament which is scheduled to be played tomorrow (2) at Cosx Bazar in Bangladesh, commencing from 11.30 am Sri Lanka time.

The unbeaten Bangladesh and Sri Lanka final is going to be a tough battle as Lankan lasses are in good form after their last victory over Pakistan. Sri Lanka head coach Mahesh Weerasinghe is confident about his team to win the final. “My manager Hemantha Devapriya who is chairman of the women’s selection committee and my assistant coach Umal Erandika give good service to the young girls and the players are committed to do their best, coach Weerasinghe said.

Vishmi Gunaratne the most senior player with National experience is the highest scorer of the tournament having 71 against Pakistan. In addition Sri Lanka women’s team have decent bowling attack and will pose a good challenge against Bangladesh tomorrow.
