SL v ZIM – 2nd ODI, Sri Lanka Celebrates Their First Victory in 2024

Sri Lanka clinched their first victory in 2024 as they defeated Zimbabwe by 2 wickets at RPICS. After winning the toss, ZIM elected to bat first and posted 208 runs in 44.4 overs before being all-out. ZIM skipper, Craig Ervine, scored 82 runs with 9 fours and a six. Maheesh Theekshana was the top bowler for SL as he took 4 wickets.

In the second innings, Janith Liyanage’s wonderful knock helped SL chase down the target with 6 balls to spare. Blessing Muzarabani missed his maiden ODI century as he was at 95. Richard Ngarava took 5 wickets for 32 runs. The next ODI will take place on 11th January at RPICS.
