Afghanistan registered their second win by beating Pakistan with 8 wickets. Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Skipper Babar Azam scored 74 runs before being dismissed by Noor Ahmad, who was the highest wicket-taker for Afghanistan, taking 3 wickets. However, Pakistan posted 282/7 in 50 overs.
In reply, Afghanistan’s openers built a brilliant 130-run partnership for the first wicket. Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran scored 65 and 87 runs respectively. Rahmat Shah took Afghanistan to victory by adding an unbeaten 77 runs. Finally, Afghanistan chased down the target with 6 balls to spare.
