Dilshan Madushanka the left arm paceman who came to the squad after injury bowled well at the first warm up game while in the absence of Dushmantha Chameera Lahiru Kumara who can bowl over 140kmph speed has big responsibility and young Matheesha Pathirana the slinger action paceman is expected to get good rhythm on Indian wickets.

The absence of key leg spinner Wanindu Hasaranga two young leggies Dunith Wellalage and Dushan Hementha have to bowl with more responsibility. Two leggies are inexperienced but they can do the damage said Selection on tour Promodya Wickrmasinghe who is th chairman of National Selection Committee. Dhananjaya de Silva and Charith Asalanka the part time off spinners have the ability to break partnership which is vital for Sri Lanka team.

Sri Lanka team has to play nine matches to get qualification for the semi final and win at least five matches with good run rate is more important to go forward said a cricket expert .First of all players should give consistent performance in all three departments. Top order batters have to lay a good platform while middle order has to click with the top order performance. If top order couldn’t perform well middle order batters face more pressure.in addition when the team could build up good score bowlers can bowl with more confidence said a cricket expert.

Today top teams like England, New Zealand, India, Pakistan having this plan. In addition Sri Lanka team is the dark horse of this world cup no one says they can reach semi finals. But this also puts less pressure on Sri Lanka and they can reach the top step by step said cricket expert. The failure of skipper Dasun Shanaka is a big issue but team management always expects Shanaka can come back strongly. With the weather pattern rain also can interrupt the world cup matches.
