Sri Lanka’s four-member bodybuilding team secured two bronze medals at the 56th International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation (IFBB) Asian Championships held in Beirut, Lebanon.
Subhash Dhanushka clinched bronze in the Classic Bodybuilding Championships, while Chamara Dias claimed bronze in the Over 50 Bodybuilding Championship.
Minula Silva, an emerging talent for Sri Lanka, achieved a notable fourth-place finish in the Junior Men’s Classic Bodybuilding Championship and a remarkable fifth-place finish in the Junior Men’s Bodybuilding Championship. Iran’s national bodybuilding team emerged as overall champions, triumphing in this three-day event, which saw participation from around 20 nations, despite initial expectations of representatives from 48 Asian countries. The Iran team’s impressive tally includes 27 gold medals, 14 silver medals, and six bronze medals.
